MedSpeed Honored by SMI for Contribution to the Healthcare Supply Chain
Elmhurst, December 2022—MedSpeed, the market-leading provider of same-day transportation services to the healthcare industry, was honored for its 10-year membership in SMI®, a non-profit, member-driven community of healthcare supply chain organizations.
In addition to MedSpeed, six additional members were recognized, including Abbott, Avera Health, HonorHealth, Kaiser Permanente, Northwestern Medicine and Ochsner Health System.
“MedSpeed is honored to be among this important group of SMI leaders working to make impactful change within healthcare’s supply chain as we all drive to improve patient care,” said Jake Crampton, Chief Executive Officer for MedSpeed, who accepted the award on the company’s behalf.
As part of this honor, SMI will contribute to its Emerging Leader Scholarship on behalf of MedSpeed. The scholarship recipients are invited to participate in SMI Forums and enhance their healthcare supply chain careers by networking and learning from the industry’s top supply chain thought leaders.

SMI members meet at forums twice yearly to discuss industry challenges, share learnings and best practices and work on thought leadership councils in-between forums. MedSpeed was honored at the SMI Fall 2022 Forum in Scottsdale, AZ.
