MedSpeeder Quickly Delivers Vital Formula to NICU

Earlier this year, one of MedSpeed’s health system customers in Texas needed baby formula for their NICU urgently due to a shortage. The customer reached out to MedSpeed, their same-day logistics partner, to see if we could help.

Zachary Shaw, a MedSpeed Logistics Service Rep since 2022, set out to collect formula from a hospital with extra supply located two hours away, and deliver it as soon as possible to the NICU.  The trip between the two locations normally takes two hours. Luck was on Shaw’s side that day and with lighter than normal traffic, he was able to complete the trip safely in only an hour and a half.

When he arrived at the NICU, he was met with a standing ovation from hospital staff who had been anxiously awaiting his arrival.

The staff went on to thank him and say, “You saved the hungry babies!” while they took the cans of formula back to the NICU.  Shaw said, “It felt really good to help everyone out. I’m proud to be a MedSpeeder and always ready to help, whether it’s hungry babies, or otherwise.”
